About us...

A Precious Gift Adoption Resource Center  is a not-for-profit corporation founded by two women with unique adoption experiences.  We are a progressive, non-traditional licensed adoption agency in northeast Pennsylvania. Because of our unique personal experiences in adoption, A Precious Gift ARC can provide a deep understanding of your fears and concerns and dreams and desires about the adoption process.  It is important for you to know that we share your ethical standards and moral convictions as it relates to adoption. 

Our philosophy on adoption...

We believe all children need and deserve a safe, loving, stable, happy family and home life.  A Precious Gift ARC encourages both adopting couples and prospective birthparents to actively participate in the adoption process and work together to provide a responsible, compassionate, and positive environment for the child who is the center of the adoption plan.  We believe adoption is forever, and that both adoptive parents and birthparents have unique and deserving roles in the child’s life.  We believe in a compassionate and respectful approach that focuses on the lifelong needs and desires of all parties involved. 

Our adoption program...

A Precious Gift ARC maintains a domestic infant adoption program that concentrates on working with prospective birthparents and adopting couples in the placement of infants and in some cases toddlers or older children.   We offer comprehensive services to:  

• prospective birthparents needing to make an adoption plan for their baby or child;

• married couples wanting to build their family by adoption; and

• the children at the center of an adoption plan.
