A Precious Gift ARC's Annual Adoption Picnics
2007
Our first annual adoption
picnic was held at Mary Lisa's home on Saturday, August 18, 2007.
Adoptive families, birthfamilies, children, and adoption workers were
invited. We had a wonderful turnout and the weather was beautiful.
Many birthfamilies came to see their children for the first time since
placing them. It was an emotional but happy and blessed day!
A special thank you to Mary Lisa's husband Scott for all his hard work
in helping make this event a success!

2008
Our second annual adoption
picnic was held at Gouldsboro State Park on Saturday, August 2, 2008.
Ninety four (94!) Adoptive families, birthfamilies, children, and adoption workers
came. Although the weather forecast called for showers all day
(and the morning of the picnic was filled with thunderstorms and
downpours), the grey skies turned blue at five minutes before noon and
the sun warmed the whole day!
(God is great!) We had another beautiful day filled with joy,
love, fun and lots of good food. The picnic grounds were
beautiful... a huge clean pavilion set on Big Bass Lake. Everyone
loved it so we are hoping this will be the setting for all future
picnics!
A very special THANK
YOU... to everyone who donated monetarily toward the picnic... to
everyone who showed up despite the weather forecast... to Tammy for the
awesome cake and cookies... to Bernice for putting together all the name
badges for everyone... and to Mary Lisa's husband Scott for all his hard
work in helping make our second event a success!

(a shout out to everyone
to please share any photos you took at the picnic!)
